The Specialists Behind Your Care, and Your Case

Two providers. Credentials that hold up in deposition. Thirty-five years of exclusive focus on the injuries that demand it most.

Dr. Robert Buckley, D.C., DACRB — Diplomate in Functional Rehabilitation

Robert Buckley is not a general chiropractor who occasionally sees accident patients. For more than 35 years, he has worked exclusively in personal injury and workers' compensation; treating the complex, often underdiagnosed injuries that follow auto accidents and workplace trauma.

His clinical foundation is the DACRB: Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. This is a post-doctoral credential in functional rehabilitation held by fewer than a fraction of practicing chiropractors nationwide. It signals a level of clinical depth that general practice training does not produce, and that litigation-quality documentation requires.

At Optimus, Dr. Buckley leads every aspect of injury evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical reporting. His reports are written to withstand scrutiny; because he is qualified to testify to every opinion in them.

Dr. Anthony Doran, Psy.D., Neuropsychologist

Anthony Doran has spent his career on the injury that most providers miss. He has evaluated more than 35,000 patients with mild traumatic brain injury and reviewed more than 50,000 neurocognitive assessments, which gives him a depth of TBI experience few clinicians anywhere can match.

His training began in the United States Navy, where over a 20-year military career he assessed, diagnosed, and treated post-traumatic stress and mild traumatic brain injury. He later served as the Navy's Special Assistant for Suicide Prevention and Combat Stress, briefing the Chief of Naval Operations and the Navy Surgeon General. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Harvard Medical School and has taught psychology at the United States Naval Academy and Johns Hopkins University.

After leaving the military, Dr. Doran helped build one of the most active community concussion programs in the country and contributed to the passage of Maryland's Concussion Law. Today he directs NeuroPro Concussion Clinic, which provides more than 6,000 mTBI patient visits each year.

At Optimus, Dr. Doran leads neuropsychological evaluation for patients with suspected TBI and post-concussion syndrome. His evaluations combine neurocognitive testing, clinical interviews, and validity testing, with close attention to mechanism of injury. The result is a clear, defensible finding that supports both treatment planning and medico-legal documentation.

Why Both Providers Matter to Your Case

Most clinics refer out when a case gets complicated. Optimus does not. Dr. Buckley and Dr. Doran operate under the same provider umbrella; which means evaluations, treatment records, and clinical opinions are coordinated from the start, not assembled after the fact from three different offices.

For patients, that means fewer gaps in care. For attorneys, it means a file that tells a complete, defensible clinical story; from the initial injury evaluation through neuropsychological testing and functional rehabilitation.

The documentation attorneys trust is built by providers qualified to stand behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Providers

  • What does DACRB mean, and why does it matter for a personal injury case?

DACRB stands for Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board — a post-doctoral credential in functional rehabilitation earned through advanced clinical training and examination. It is held by a small fraction of practicing chiropractors in the country. In a personal injury context, it means Dr. Buckley's clinical opinions are grounded in a level of specialization that withstands scrutiny in deposition and at trial.

  • Who is Dr. Robert Buckley, and does he treat auto accident injuries in Dover, DE?

Dr. Robert Buckley is a Doctor of Chiropractic and Diplomate in Functional Rehabilitation with more than 35 years of clinical experience focused exclusively on personal injury and workers' compensation. His primary clinic is located at 834 S. State Street in Dover, DE, where he evaluates and treats auto accident injuries, TBI, whiplash, soft tissue injury, and work-related injuries.

  • Is Dr. Anthony Doran available in Delaware, or only in Pennsylvania?

Dr. Doran conducts neuropsychological evaluations via telehealth, making his services available to patients throughout Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania — including the Philadelphia metro area. In-person coordination is available through Optimus locations as needed.

  • Can your providers testify in a personal injury case?

Yes. Both Dr. Buckley and Dr. Doran are credentialed to provide expert testimony. Their clinical reports are structured with litigation in mind — written to support deposition, mediation, and trial by providers qualified to defend every opinion in them.

  • Do you accept patients who were recently discharged from the ER after a car accident?

Yes. ER discharge is one of the most common points of entry for our patients. Emergency rooms stabilize acute injuries — they do not evaluate for soft tissue damage, whiplash, or traumatic brain injury. Dr. Buckley's team provides the follow-up evaluation that identifies what the ER did not and begins building the clinical record your case requires.

Expanding Clinical Team — Satellite Locations

As Optimus grows its presence across Delaware, additional consulting physicians are being onboarded at satellite locations in New Castle, Christiana, Wilmington, and Georgetown. Provider profiles for these locations will be added here as each clinician joins the network.

All satellite providers operate under the clinical oversight and documentation standards established by Dr. Buckley and Dr. Doran. Consulting roles vary by location.
