At Optimus Injury Treatment Center, every patient who walks through our door has been hurt in an accident, injured on the job, or affected by a traumatic event. That is the entirety of what we do. No maintenance care. No general wellness. No commercial patients. Our practice exists at the intersection of serious injury and the advocacy that follows it — and we have built every clinical system around that single purpose.
We are a personal injury chiropractic and functional rehabilitation practice serving patients across Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania, with our primary clinic in Dover, DE and satellite locations extending our reach statewide.
The ER Said You Were Fine. That's Not the Same as No Brain Injury.
What the Screening Is and What It Isn't
This is a scheduled community program, not a walk-in clinic. Each session runs approximately one hour and is conducted by credentialed clinical staff. We assess for functional neurological indicators that emergency departments do not routinely evaluate after a collision.
The screening does not obligate you to any treatment. It does not establish a clinical relationship with this practice. It does not replace a full neurological evaluation. What it does is give you information you don't currently have, and that the healthcare system didn't give you when you left the ER.
If the screening identifies indicators consistent with a traumatic brain injury or post-concussion syndrome, we will recommend a complete clinical evaluation. That evaluation is a paid service. We will explain what it involves, what it costs, and what your options are. Nothing happens without your knowledge and consent.
Who This Program Is For
- Adults who were in a car accident and discharged from an ER or urgent care without neurological follow-up
- Anyone experiencing headaches, cognitive fog, memory gaps, sleep disruption, light or sound sensitivity, or mood changes following a collision, even a low-impact one
- Individuals who are unsure whether their accident was "bad enough" to warrant evaluation
- People who have received unsolicited calls after their accident and don't know where to turn for unbiased information
Vehicle damage does not predict neurological injury. Low-speed collisions produce real brain injuries. The only way to know what happened in your brain is evaluation; and this screening is where that starts.
Nobody Sold Your Information to Get You Here
After an accident in Delaware, it is not uncommon to receive unsolicited phone calls from people claiming to represent your insurance company, a law firm, or a medical provider. Some of those calls are legitimate. Many are not. Directing accident victims to specific providers through unsolicited contact is a documented fraud pattern in this state.
This program operates differently. We do not purchase leads. We do not work with runners. We built a community screening program because the healthcare system has a gap and people are falling through it. If you found this page, you found us the right way.
Where and When Screenings Are Held
Screenings are scheduled appointments, not open-door sessions. They run on Mondays at our primary clinic in Dover, DE and at participating satellite locations in New Castle and Bear, DE.
As we expand our hospital and urgent care partnerships across Delaware, additional screening locations will be added to this page. If you are located near Wilmington or Georgetown, contact us directly, we can advise on the nearest available location or upcoming schedule.

The Clinical Team Behind the Program
Where can I get a free TBI evaluation in Delaware after a car accident?
Optimus Injury Treatment Center offers a free community TBI screening program for accident victims in Delaware. Screenings run on Mondays at our Dover office and at satellite locations in New Castle and Bear. You can reserve a spot using the form on this page. The screening is approximately one hour and requires no commitment to treatment. How do I know if I have a brain injury from my accident without paying for a full evaluation?
That is exactly what this screening is designed to answer. Symptoms including headaches, cognitive fog, memory gaps, sleep disruption, and sensitivity to light or sound can all indicate functional neurological injury following a collision. The free screening assesses for these indicators at no cost. If the screening finds nothing, you have your answer. If it finds indicators, we explain what a full evaluation involves before any next step is taken. The ER told me I was fine after my accident. Do I still need a screening?
Emergency departments evaluate for life-threatening structural injury; brain bleeds, skull fractures, acute hemorrhage. They are not equipped to assess functional neurological damage, which is a different category of injury. NIH data indicates that 89% of motor vehicle accident victims leave the ER with an undiagnosed TBI. Being cleared at the ER means no brain bleed was detected. It does not mean no brain injury occurred. Is the free TBI screening really free? What's the catch?
The screening costs nothing and does not obligate you to any treatment. It does not create a doctor-patient relationship. This program costs the practice money to run; we offer it because the gap between ER discharge and proper neurological follow-up is a real public health problem in Delaware. If the screening identifies indicators that warrant a full clinical evaluation, we will explain what that involves and what it costs. That decision is entirely yours. Can I get a free concussion screening in Dover, DE?
Yes. Our Dover office at 834 S. State Street is the primary location for Monday screenings. If you are in New Castle or Bear, screenings are also available at our satellite locations. Use the registration form above to select your preferred location and date.Does a low-impact crash cause a traumatic brain injury?
It can. Vehicle damage severity does not correlate with neurological injury severity. The brain moves inside the skull during any sudden deceleration, including low-speed collisions. Many patients who present with TBI indicators were involved in accidents they considered minor. The screening exists precisely for people who are unsure whether their accident was significant enough to warrant evaluation.
Ready to Start Your Recovery?
Most patients can be seen within 24–48 hours of their first call. The sooner your injuries are evaluated and documented, the stronger your path forward — medically and legally.
